Doors 7pm | Show 7:30pm | Advance $12 / Day of Show $15 + Dice Fees | 16+ With Baby Dog & Special Guest Birds and Arrows isn’t your typical rock band—they’re songwriters first, crafting emotionally charged songs rooted in a classic, groove-driven sound reminiscent of The Faces, but with a powerful female voice at the center. Sweeping melodies, rich three-part harmonies, and the unmistakable pulse of Pete Connolly’s drumming define their dynamic style. At the core are Andrea and Pete Connolly, an art-rock duo based in Tucson, AZ, who first built their reputation in North Carolina’s Triangle music scene, sharing stages and included on compilations alongside bands and band members of Big Star, Wilco, Whiskeytown, Ben Folds Five, R.E.M, The Mountain Goats and The dB’s to name a few. For this special performance, they expand into a full-band experience, joined by longtime friend Dirk Shumaker (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy) on bass and Ben Nisbet of the Tucson Symphony on lead guitar. Voted “Best Rock Band” in Tucson by Tucson Weekly readers four years running, Birds and Arrows deliver a deeper sound that feels far bigger than its duo origins—moving effortlessly from intimate, introspective ballads to explosive, groove-heavy jams. Their music is contemplative, slightly psychedelic, and as expansive as the desert they call home.
